Our Club
The Tom Price Amateur Swimming Club has been providing swimming coaching to the community of Tom Price for over 30 years. Our club has grown to be one of the biggest swimming clubs in the North West.
We have three levels of memberships. Recreational swimmer: swim to build fitness and stroke technique. Competitive swimmer: swim to build fitness, technique and speed to compete in regional and metropolitan competitions. Our club also offers social membership to parents and members of the Tom Price community.
We are a family friendly club who warmly welcomes new members. This season we will be holding our Club Nights on Thursday nights from 5pm. Swimmers have an opportunity to come down and do compete in timed swimming races then enjoy a meal with parents, coaches and fellow team mates in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The swimming club is fortunate to have four qualified coaches this season lead by our newly appointed Head coach, Ray Whitfield. Ray has over 20 years experience as a professional swim coach. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. This season our swimmers will swim at many Regional and State Swimming competitions.
Our committee has been busy working behind the scenes to ensure another successful and enjoyable season. They look forward to seeing all club swimmers, both new and returning members and those re-joining do really well this year and achieving their personal goals.
The club has 86 swimmers and 45 social members registered already. This season we are encouraging High School students to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic club and keep fit through the summer.
Our season runs for 7 months from 1 October to 30 April and for the first time our club will train through the school holidays to offer children an opportunity to keep their fitness up for the entire season.
